I'm pretty sure painting the nursery and registering aren't necessarily what he had in mind for "fun" the first day after his big test, but I am pretty stoked about our hot date to Babies R Us tonight and am thrilled that he is home taping walls as I type this. And I'm confident assembling the crib isn't what he had in mind for day two of freedom either ... thanks honey. I will be one happy momma when it is all done.
I don't know how to make these awesome photo collages I am seeing on other blogs (your shared wisdom would be appreciated if you do) but here are a few pics of inspiration for the nursery. Not sure exactly what we are doing just yet, but the walls will be aqua. I am loving the little dainty chandeliers right now, but I know it is kind of ridiculous to have one. I guess we will see if I can think of some way to justify it in the next week or two.

Hey Susie - Justify the cute little chandelier by saying that it is similiar to having a mobile over the crib for the baby to look at... and thus will stimulate the baby's brain making her a little genius! :)
Congrats to both of you!!! I know what you mean when you say you feel like you just took the test!
Love all the pics, I can't wait to see what it looks like when it is done.
Oh and I do my collages on picasa, super easy, I will show you!
Dave hates when I have fun projects for him too! Your nursery is gonna be so cute cute!
Congrats on the boards. I love the pictures and hope we get to come see the actual nursery sooner than later!
I use Picasa too - free from our friends at Google. I love it! I think the chandelier is cute - my sister in law made one from an older one she found at a yardsale, though I'm sure Pottery Barn has something you could splurge on too :)
Hey Suze....I have loved reading your blog...it's been awhile. It is always sooo interesting and funny. I love the baby nursery ideas! Can't wait to see the finished products!
I can attest to the chandelier. It is completey justified. You should also buy a dimmer switch and change out the light switch in her room because then you can dim her lights when it is bedtime and all those reflections are so pretty and perfect for a baby girl room. I swear- TOTALLY WORTH IT (but only if you get the dimmer switch too).
LOVE the blue walls with all the colors. I'm sure whatever you do is going to look great, it's in your blood. The chandelier is a must. Enjoy having Niels' hands around to help out while they can!!!
excited to see the end product- it's going to look so cute!
hey there. so for the most part i order lucy's hair pretties off of etsy. i've had a couple of friends make some for me and also teach me how to make a couple...but i am no where near competent enough to make them for anyone else...although that was a really nice compliment. this is one of my favorite etsy shops: http://www.etsy.com/shop/sprinklesontop
